2020

The Beginning of Our Journey

When the world went into lockdown, we realized that the way people work and learn was changing faster than ever. We saw a clear need for upskilling and reskilling, and that realization sparked an idea to create a space where global and local voices could come together to talk about the future of jobs. That’s how our journey began!

2021

Our First Future of Jobs Forum

We kicked off the first-ever Future of Jobs Forum online. More than 20,000 participants tuned in to hear from 17 speakers, including representatives of the World Economic Forum, OECD, Stanford, Google, and Swedbank. This was the year we officially began our collaboration with the World Economic Forum.

2022

Growing Beyond Latvia

Our second Future of Jobs Forum expanded regionally, reaching over 60,000 online viewers and featuring 16 international speakers. Also, we were invited by the World Economic Forum to begin collecting data for the Future of Jobs Report covering Latvia and Lithuania,  marking our first contribution to global skills research.

2023

Our First On-Site Forum and the Launch of the Accelerator

This time we welcomed people back both online and on-site, for our third Future of Jobs Forum. The first Future of Jobs Report featuring Latvian and Lithuanian data was published this year.

In November, we launched the Latvian Education Accelerator, joining the World Economic Forum’s global network of countries.

2024

Strengthening Partnerships

In May we hosted the fourth Future of Jobs Forum, bringing together policy leaders, national agencies, researchers, and multiple Latvian ministries. That was when we met Google.org and began building a partnership focused on the future of learning and work.

2025

Introducing nakotnesdarbs.lv

At the start of 2025, we launched nakotnesdarbs.lv; our AI-powered career platform. By mid-year, over 6,700 students had already explored the platform and it had analyzed more than 30,000 job ads! In parallel, we contributed  Latvia's and Lithuania’s data to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025.

2026
